OBJECTIVE

This blog was created as a task assigned by the teacher to student ICT. Besides that, I would like to share with other students in other related subjects ICT. I hope with the blog, we will be able to increase knowledge of ICT subjects.

WHAT IS COMPUTER SYSTEM?

A computer system is defined as combination of components designed to process data and store files. A computer systems consists of four major hardware components. For example input devices, output devices, processor and storage devices. A computer system requires hardware, software and a user to fully function.

WHAT IS INPUT AND INPUT DEVICES?

Input:

Whatever goes into the computer. Input can take a variety of forms, from commands you enter from the keyboard to data from another computer or device. A device that feeds data into a computer, such as a keyboard or mouse, is called an input devices.

Input Device :

An input device is any hardware component that allows you to enter data, programs, commands, and user responses into a computer.  Input devices include the keyboard, pointing devices, scanners and reading devices, digital cameras, audio and video input devices for physically challenged user. Each of these input devices is discussed in the following pages.

Example Of Input Devices :

WHAT IS PROCESS AND PROCESSOR DEVICES?

Process :

In computing, a process is an instance of a computer program that is being executed. It contains the program code and its current activity. Depending on the operating system (OS), a process may be made up of multiple threads of execution that execute instructions concurrently.

Processors :

Microchip implanted in a CPU's hard drive that processes instructions sent to it by the computer and software programs. Processors come in a number of sizes and are manufactured by such corporations as Intel and Advanced Micro Devices. The greater the gigahertz capacity of the processor, the quicker the computer will be able to process instructions sent to it. Some corporations have developed a dual processor, which allows one processor to process multiple instructions at the same time without slowing down performance.

Example Of Processor :

WHAT IS STORAGE AND STORAGE DEVICES?

Storage :

Storage is a located which data, instruction and information are held for future use.Every computer uses storage to hold system software and application software.

Storage Device :

Storage devices have been some of the most important computer devices since the early 1970s. They are used to store information (music, videos, documents) from your computer system. Two general types of storage devices exist (internal and external). An internal storage device is implanted inside of your computer. An external storage device can be held in the palm of your hand and carried anywhere you go.

Example of Storage Device :

WHAT IS OUTPUT AND OUTPUT DEVICES?

Output :

Output is data that has been processed into a useful form, called information. There are four types of output which are texts, graphics, audio and video.

Output Devices :

An output device is any piece of computer hardware equipment used to communicate the results of data processing carried out by an information processing system (such as a computer) to the outside world.

Example Of Output Devices :

CONCLUSION

From this blog I have learned about computer and its components . I hope this blog can help people to increase their knowledge in ICT .
